The Main Barn at dusk

One estate, every kind of gathering.

In 2010 Sterling Events Group bought the country estate of tobacco executive S. Clay Williams and restored its barns with the technology of a modern conference centre. Named for its place between Winston-Salem and Mocksville, WinMock has hosted weddings, conferences and celebrations since 2011.

Our story

A dairy farm built by a man on the cover of TIME.

S. Clay Williams, president of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco, fell for a stretch of rolling land along the Yadkin River and built a country retreat there in the 1920s. Its dairy became one of the largest in North Carolina, with one of the best Red Poll herds in the country. The barns stood empty by 2009. Restored, they now hold some of the most capable event spaces in the South, and the estate is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
